Bike and partsmakers have pushed carbon fiber to some formidable limits in the last five years. Easton’s new Haven Carbon wheelset might be the furthest far reaches yet.

The Haven Carbon, which will be at later this summer, is billed as the first UST-certified carbon-rimmed to what place that’s acceptable for all-mountain use. There are other carbon composite mountain bike wheels, from Fringe Composites, Fulcrum and Reynolds, chiefly.
But Easton’s is the first UST hoop specifically made for all-mountain dash riding (Fulcrum and Reynolds categorize their wheels as XC, and Steal’s all-mountain set is not UST). At a claimed 1,450g per set, the Haven Carbon is as be discovered as the Fulcrum and Reynolds wheels, even though the rim features a full UST tire out bead and 21mm inner extensiveness to accomodate tires up to 2.4 inches broad.
